Aqua Park El Obour
North-east Cairo's water park — but only in the hot season.
This is the big water park of El Obour City, at kilometre 31 of the Cairo–Ismailia desert road, facing Mostakbal City: some thirty kilometres from the centre, outside the five areas visitors usually cover. A wave pool, slides for adults and others built to a child's height, lawns and cabanas. The single ticket covers the attractions and includes lunch and a drink, which makes it a real family day rather than a two-hour outing — provided you come in the hot season, because for the rest of the year the park sleeps.
The extra bit
Check the park's own page the day before to see that it is open: review sites never close, and that is how people drive thirty kilometres to find a locked gate. And ask at the ticket window when lunch is served and at which counter: the meal is in the ticket, but it has an hour and a place.
Know before you go
The park is SEASONAL: its official page announced the 2026 season from 7 May, and visitors have found it shut in winter — from autumn to spring, do not set off without calling. It is far: some thirty kilometres from central Cairo, no metro, and ride-hailing cars do not always come all the way down to the entrance, so agree the return before you step out. Swimwear rules are not the same from one Egyptian park to the next: that is a question to ask before making the drive, not at the changing room.
