The Blue Lagoon

A shallow lagoon at the end of a track, where the sea becomes a turquoise pool.

€€ Mid-range

Further north than Ras Abu Galum, a lagoon sheltered by a coral bar, with a few Bedouin camps and nothing else. The water is flat and translucent, and windsurfing has found a natural spot there.

The extra bit

The 4×4 ride is part of the day: the track follows the coast, and the view is worth the shaking.

Know before you go

An isolated site with no shops: bring water, food and sunscreen for the whole day.
