Korba is the old heart of Heliopolis, the garden city built in the early twentieth century: arcades, worked balconies, shops and cafés under the columns. One of the few Cairo districts where you walk for the pleasure of looking at façades.

Combine with the Baron Empain palace, ten minutes away: the same urban project, seen from two sides.

Know before you go

Heliopolis is far from the centre: the metro does not serve Korba directly, plan on a taxi.
