Born in an Agouza basement, Cairo Jazz Club expanded west, and its Sheikh Zayed room is now the largest: an open-air terrace connected to an indoor club, with programming that runs from jazz to oriental live acts to electronic. It's where Cairo dances, plainly.

Check the line-up before picking your night: depending on the bill, the same room goes from a seated gig to a packed club.

Know before you go

Booking all but essential on Thursday and Friday. Adults only, ID checked at the door, smart dress required. Alcohol is served — not the case everywhere in Egypt. Allow 30–40 minutes from Zamalek.
