Cairo · Zahraa Madinat Nasr
Jewel Sport City & Aqua Park
Four pools and seventeen water games in north-east Cairo: a children's day out, not a place to swim lengths.
A real water centre rather than a hotel selling a day by its pool: Jewel Sport City lines up four pools and seventeen water games at Zahraa Madinat Nasr, opposite the Wataniya petrol station. You come for the day, with no membership and no club card, and the ticket is sold as packages — entry alone, or entry with a meal served on site. This is a children's address: slides, sprays, shallow water, shouting. Anyone after a lane and some quiet will find neither. The park opens every day from 10am to 5pm, with a one-hour break during the day, and a child under four gets in free.
The extra bit
Come at opening time: the midday break eats into the afternoon, and shade is scarce once the sun is high. Choose your package before you pay — the meal is included in the price, but the price changes with the dish, and nothing you bring from outside will come in with you.
Know before you go
Access is public and by the day, with no membership: EGP 430 for entry alone, 550 with a hot dog, 600 with a chicken pizza, 700 with a mixed grill, 750 with half a grilled chicken. Free under four; from four, every child needs a coupon of their own. Two restrictions are set down in black and white by the coupon seller, and they are worth reading before you make the trip: the offer is advertised as "valid for Egyptians only", and at the weekend it is valid for families only. The park is mixed and family-minded; no women-only session is advertised. Food brought from outside is turned away. These prices are those of a coupon valid until 15 September 2026: after that date they need checking again, and a foreign visitor would do well to phone before setting out.
