Cairo · New Cairo
Lavender Lounge
An international menu, a Japanese one alongside, and a view, in Tagamoa 2.
Two menus under one roof, one international and one Japanese: the practical answer when there are six of you and nobody agrees on dinner. The view is the other draw, and it's worth asking for a table on that side when you book. This is an address for a long evening rather than a quick lunch, and the prices follow the setting. It sits in Tagamoa 2, east of Cairo.
The extra bit
Go through WhatsApp rather than calling: an answer comes faster in Egypt. Ask in the message, outright, for a table on the view side, or you'll spend dinner facing the room. And aim for the early evening: once it is properly dark, the view is just lights.
Know before you go
The view is not a Nile view: New Cairo doesn't see a drop of it. Ask what the room looks onto, and which floor you'll be seated on, before building an evening around it. Get the exact address confirmed — Tagamoa 2 is a big place. And reckon on a real drive from Zamalek: leave before the traffic builds.
