An ice cream and sweets house Cairenes have known since childhood: mango ice cream in summer, om ali, konafa, and a counter where you order standing before eating on the pavement. Flavours change with the fruit season, the best sign that they are made on site.

The extra bit

Mango ice cream only exists in summer, and it is the one to have: the rest of the year, take the pistachio cream.
