The Cairo monorail
An elevated line above Greater Cairo — the ride is worth it for the view.

Two elevated lines link New Cairo and Sheikh Zayed to the centre. For a visitor, the point is as much the ride as the transport: the city rolls past a storey above the roofs, which no other mode allows.
