Marsa Alam & the Red Sea · South of Marsa Alam

Sharm el-Luli

A white sand beach and clear water, with not a hotel on the horizon.

€€ Mid-range

Some sixty kilometres south of Marsa Alam, a sheltered bay where the sand slopes gently and the reef edges the beach. One of the few Red Sea beaches still more or less bare, visited on a day trip by car.

The extra bit

Bring everything: there is no café, no parasol hire, no drinking water on site.

Know before you go

The bay is part of a protected area: leave nothing behind, and do not walk on the coral.
