The tables of Marsa Alam

Few addresses, plenty of fish: the southern Red Sea's table.

€€ Mid-range

Marsa Alam village has a handful of fish and grill restaurants along the coast road, often attached to a dive centre. With hotels so isolated, these addresses are the only alternative to full board.

The extra bit

Book a return taxi from the hotel: there is no public transport and no cruising taxi.

Know before you go

Distances are long: the nearest restaurant may be twenty kilometres away.
