The Bibliotheca's museums

Three museums and a planetarium tucked beneath the great reading room.

Most visitors only see the tiered reading room. Beneath it, the Bibliotheca holds an antiquities museum built on the site's own excavations, a manuscripts museum, a Sadat space and a planetarium — each with its ticket, each half empty.

The extra bit

The antiquities museum is the best of the three: it shows what was found while digging the foundations.

Know before you go

Separate tickets from the main one, bought at the same desk: ask for the combined ticket.
