A 1929 counter where coffee is drunk standing, in three minutes, as in Naples.

Original woodwork, an old machine, staff in jackets: the house has not moved and still serves the same tight coffee. One of the last working witnesses of Alexandria's foreign communities, and it runs as a popular café, not a museum.

Take it mazbout — medium sweet: the country's default setting, and the house's.
