Bombed while supplying the Eighth Army, the Thistlegorm lies at thirty metres with its cargo intact: rows of Norton motorcycles, Bedford lorries, railway wagons, ammunition. One of the world's most famous wreck dives, and an underwater Second World War museum.

Two-day liveaboards reach it at daybreak, before the boats from Sharm: the only way to see it without a crowd.
