A hundred and fifty hectares of pines and palms by the sea, around the royal palace.

The Montazah palace park is Alexandria's great green space: avenues, a pine wood, bridges, coves and the Salamlek pavilion above. Families spend the whole day there, and entry costs the price of a tea.

The extra bit

Walk out to the bridge towards the island: the view the whole city pictures when you say Montazah.

Know before you go

Access to the park's beaches is charged separately, and rates rise in summer.
