Egypt's only Roman theatre, with its baths and ancient lecture halls.

In the heart of Alexandria, an ancient quarter cleared over several hectares: marble tiers, mosaics, cisterns, and a row of auditoria where teaching took place in the fifth century. The site that reminds you Alexandria was a city of scholars before it was a beach city.

The extra bit

The lecture halls at the back are what nobody looks at and what is rarest here.
