A model park recreating the country's great monuments to scale, from Cairo to Aswan. For anyone not going down the Nile valley it is a three-dimensional map; for anyone coming back, a revision. The circuit takes an easy hour or two, shade included.
The extra bit
Take the guide offered at the entrance: the models start to look alike without someone telling you what you are seeing.
Know before you go
The park is open-air: midday is crushing from April to October. Late afternoon if possible, hat and water in any case.
