At kilometre 129 of the Matrouh road, inside the Marassi compound at Sidi Abdel Rahman: the brand advertises three pools, and where bathing is concerned this is the most upmarket address on the north coast. It appears here as the reference for the area, with one reservation better read before you set off — this is not a pool you can walk into. First you pass the Marassi gate, then you have to be a guest of the hotel or the residences. Two barriers, in other words, and neither is negotiated on arrival. That is the price of what people come for: kept water, facing the sea, on a stretch of coast drawn in a single stroke.

Do not drive out on hope: call the front desk before booking, and have them confirm, in the same call, entry into the compound and the hotel's admission conditions.
Know before you go
Access: guests of the hotel and the residences. The brand publishes no day pass for the pools, and the resort sits inside the closed Marassi compound — the gate comes before the hotel. Mixed bathing: the pools are mixed, in swimwear; no women-only slot is advertised. One thing to settle before you pay: the hotel's own FAQ raises admission questions particular to Egypt — whether the place takes only families or married couples, whether a marriage certificate is required. We have not read the answers and will not invent the rule; but the mere existence of those questions is enough to say they must be asked on the phone, above all if you are travelling as a couple without being married.
