The Canal Company's headquarters, completed in 1893, opens onto the Mediterranean with a white façade and green domes. You look at it from the corniche or from the free ferry across to Port Fouad — the monument the city puts on its postcards.

The extra bit

Take the free ferry to Port Fouad: the ten-minute crossing gives the best view of the building.

The interior opens only exceptionally: the visit is from outside, along the corniche.
