The camel waits, saddled, between two legs of the ride.
  • You set out before daylight: by noon the desert is no longer crossed.

Safari Sahara Hurghada

The full desert day: quad, buggy, 4×4 and camel, from morning to sunset.

€€ Mid-range

The long version of the desert trip, running through the vehicles rather than picking one: a two-seat buggy for those who would rather not drive alone, a 4×4 for the dunes, a camel for the last ten minutes. Departures in the morning or mid-afternoon, depending on whether you want the cool or the sunset.

The extra bit

Take the afternoon departure: the same track, with sunset over the mountains on the way back.

Know before you go

The price quoted by touts in town often excludes transfer and drinks: ask for the breakdown. Quads are not for children on their own, and that is what the two-seat buggy is for.
