A large urban park west of Cairo, with a lake, playgrounds and restaurants.

Cairo is desperately short of green space, and this park is one of the few recent answers: lawns, a lake, walking paths and a food hub. You mostly see Cairo families there, on Fridays and Saturdays.

The extra bit

Friday morning is the quietest time: in the afternoon, families arrive en masse.
