A national museum opened in 2020, fifteen minutes from the Naama Bay hotels.

Five thousand pieces from Egyptian museum reserves, shown in a new building surrounded by gardens: animal mummies, jewellery, everyday objects. It is the first genuine cultural offer in the Sinai resorts, and it is worth the half-day.

The extra bit

The animal mummies are the room that surprises most: cats, crocodiles, ibises, all embalmed like humans.

Know before you go

The foreign-visitor rate is higher than the Egyptian one, as in every state museum.
