Naama Bay was Sharm's heart before the big hotels spread north: a beachfront promenade lined with bars, restaurants and shops. Activity has dropped, which makes it less saturated and often cheaper than before.

The extra bit

Prices are negotiable in Naama Bay as in a souk: two neighbouring terraces do not price the same drink alike.

Know before you go

Touts are insistent on the promenade: walking on without stopping is enough, there is no conflict.
