The Agricultural Museum

A 1938 museum left exactly as it was, between faded dioramas and ancient grain.

BudgetOff the beaten track

Pavilions in a garden, filled with village dioramas, taxidermy, tools and cereals found in tombs. Nothing has been modernised for decades, and that is precisely the point: you visit a museum of a museum, exhibition as the 1930s conceived it.

The extra bit

The ancient Egypt pavilion, with its four-thousand-year-old bread and seeds, is the one not to miss.

Know before you go

Some pavilions close without notice and the lighting is dim: come by day, in clear weather.
